Flowerhorn cichlids are ornamental aquarium fish. This article will show you my super red pearl kamfa flowerhorn fish. Flowerhorn fishes were noted for their vivid colors and the distinctively shaped heads for which they are named. First developed in Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan, they became very popular with Asian fish hobbyists. They are also kept by hobbyists in the US and Europe.

Flowerhorn is said to bring its owner lots of prosperity, luck and good fortune in everything ranging from wealth and fame to love and happiness. Those real hobbyists and fish lovers will even stretch their hands into the tank and play with the Luo Han, which behaves just like a little puppy.
King Kong Parrots and Red Ingots
1. King Kong Parrots
are sometimes colored purple or blue by pigment injection. This practice is unhealthy for the fish, and the color will fade with time.
Parrot cichlids fed with natural colorants and attractants naturally develop a red color. These fish have clear eyes, and 90% of them grow to 1 kg or above, with the characteristic flowerhorn head shape.
2. The Red Mommon and Red Ingot varieties
Red Mommon and Red Ingot grow faster in the first year, with a size of about 20 cm. They grow to 25–28 cm by two years later.
Both of these fish are raised at 28 °C water temperature, pH ~6–8. It is also common to test regularly for ammonia and nitrite. These fishes can be bred with different kinds of cichlids.
How to select a good powerful Flowerhorn fish?
First of all, the fish must be active, aggressive and alert, able to follow your fingers when you play with it in front of the tank. Followed closely by its colors, the more redness on the Luo Han 罗汉, the better.
The body of the fish must be thick and squarish to represent the strong Earth Element and stability.
Lastly, the Flower markings on both sides of the body must be black and distinct so that you can one day “see” its lucky numbers and strike windfall luck too.
